[ Fuck.
Th'ancred Nunh had been captured, as he lingered in the East Shroud. Why had he been there? Rumours it's where Urianger has been killed. If he could find why, then he could... help more.
In Carbuncle form, he had slipped towards the Wall... and gotten knocked out. He had no idea where he awoke, except that he was in a cage, other animals around him. Blood was dried in his fur, and a magic disrupter had been chained to his leg. (Of course, he'd be able to be teleported away... but nobody would do that without warning.)
He was still in Carbuncle form - and there was an armoured man near him. A scent almost familiar came from the armour, but he wasn't thinking of it. No, he was letting out a soft whine, as the armoured man talked to the... other man. Draped in clothes more befitting a performer then any man of Garlemald, he shrugged and pointed to the cage.
It opened, and Th'ancred tried to make himself small and flat against the cage. The armoured man - Prastha - was offered a carrier by the other man - Amon - but all Th'ancred could think was that he had to do something. Anything. ]

...Even before my world died, I killed him. I have a lot of blood on my hands, you know?
no subject
But that's- what was expected of you, isn't it?

[ She's moving to lean against her desk, her voice trembling. Damn it, she's scared but she can't tell him. ]
Aaaand that's why I haven't taught anybody else Blood Magic.

[He shifts a little- concerned all the same, but unsure of what to do.]
Well- that does seem sensible. [Even if anyone were to want to do something against her- surely that would give them pause, wouldn't it?]

Once Fenris is dead, can I tell you a secret? Well, I'd tell you the secret now.
no subject
Eh- a secret? [He hesitates for a moment- then nods, curious.] Certainly.
[…assuming that happens. Assuming she still wants to, of course…]
no subject
[ ?!! ]
I mean, after destroying everything else.

no subject
...Besides. If he knows how to jump these places? Then... I'll let you live.
no subject
[he's not liking this at all, even if she does trust him. Still-]
I appreciate that.

And her expression changes to softness again, grinning. ]
Oh Maker even its' barks are adorable. Hah, I wonder if it's trying to make me regret my plan? But... listen, I want my family back. My life, too.
no subject
Well- perhaps. What would become of him after that happened…? […actually. He'll move on.] Would that work, though?
no subject
...I don't know. Pras, I don't plan shit out.
no subject
Perhaps- it would be worth trying to learn a little about it all the same.
no subject
...Hah, maybe. But I'm not a science person. I'm a mage who wanted to be a bard.
Could always get Amon to look into it. He's crazy, but he's smart.
[ hawke is implying she's not crazy ]
no subject
…it could be worth picking up a thing or two. If we wished to use it…
[He flicks an ear, uncertain.]
Perhaps. He… came from somewhere else, too, didn't he?
[he's not gonna be the one to say! doesn't want to find out what she'll say.]

[ Hawke lazily walks over to a cabinet, to remove some papers. ] A world that my boss came from as well.
[ wait what ] Still think it's sort of gross that he gave us that corpse, but hey. Can't linger on that too much. Wonder where that other guy got off to?
no subject
[That sounds important. Though then- He makes a face.] That- what happened to that, anyway? [though he's… trying not to sound too interested in that.] Ah… You haven't seen much of him either then?
no subject
[ But... she shrugs ]. Xande? Nah. And that body? I think Amon's working on reviving it, but without the soul or whatever, it's pointless. Wherever it is, it isn't inside that weird corpse. I'm not a necromancer, though. Blood Mages can't heal people. And you people don't even have the Fade, so it's double-weird.
no subject
[Prastha shudders a little.] Hah… I've never heard of stories with necromancy that turned out very well. The Fade- souls go there, where you're from?
no subject
[ she's seeming so... happy talking about it. ]
no subject
[it's nice! a step up from earlier, anyhow.]

[He nods, with a hum.] It's… a different way of thinking about it than it is here- though the different schools work slightly differently, of course.
no subject
Geeze, though - you can't get any good books on it here! It's like Garleans don't care about magic or something!
